This is a recording of Flannery O’Connor reading “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” in 1959. A friend sent it to me years ago (when I still lived in Texas), and my first listen was during a late night drive from Austin to San Antonio.
I was terrified, thrilled, and completely in love with her voice.
